Thank you.

Thank you.

As I prepare for Pepperbush Jewelry to go live I am overwhelmed with gratitude. The list of people I want to thank is long, and while I wouldn't be here without each and every one of the amazing people who have supported me along the way, I need to single out a few:

First is, without a doubt, my husband. He is a constant supporter and motivator. There have been more than a few moments when I doubted myself, but he has been my unwavering rock, always pushing me further. He jokes about how he has no idea what I'm saying 90% of the time, or what I should or shouldn't do to overcome the obstacles in my way, but he is always right there by my side ready to help out in any way he can. I am so grateful for his love, support and partnership in life.

Next, I need to thank my sister. She's known me longer than anyone else on this planet, and often knows me better than I know myself. She has the ability to set me straight when I veer off course. She is the epitome of strength and self-confidence — two things that I have struggled with in my own life. She is my older, wiser sister and just like as when we were kids, she is everything I aspire to be.

Last, but certainly not least, I need to thank my mom. She was always my biggest supporter — starting when I was a kid drawing "art" on the walls with crayons and continuing through to when I finally turned art into a career. I'm sure she had reservations when I chose to go to art school, but she never voiced them (at least not enough to make me doubt my decision, or doubt her faith in me).  Although she is no longer with us, I know she would be the one cheering the loudest right now.

To everyone else who has offered encouragement and support along the way, I sincerely thank you. I'm so proud to have such supportive and encouraging friends and family. It is because of all of you that I am pursuing my dream.

And with all of that said, I hope you enjoy Pepperbush Jewelry. It has been a 20-year journey to get here, and I'm so excited to see what the next 20 years may bring!

Thank you all!

Every piece I make begins with a sketch, but I don't have a single drawing on paper. After spending 12+ years as a graphic designer, a mouse feels more natural in my hand than a pencil. So my sketching is done on my Mac.

Etching has been a favorite process of mine ever since I first learned the technique at Tyler School of Art, in Philadelphia back in the late '90s. I loved the idea of combining patterns and images with metal.

Twenty years ago I was finishing up high school and coming to the realization that I was passionate about two things:  math and art.  I ultimately chose to pursue a degree in art at Temple University's Tyler School of Art.  I was drawn to Tyler not only for their amazing art programs, but also their affiliation with Temple University.
